No video
If there is no video on the projector, do the following
Press Windows P on the keyboard and select duplicate.
If there is still no image, remove the cable, check it for damage (bent or missing pins) and plug it in again.

No Sound
If there is no sound, make sure that you have the correct output on your laptop
Click on the speaker icon on the lower right of your computer, next to the clock, then click on the sound output icon

Make sure the output device is set to Epson projector for HDMI connections and speaker when plugging into speakers directly.
Check that the volume in the application you’re using and windows isn’t muted
Check that the speakers are turned on, and the volume half way
